Dale W. Estill, 76, Marion, passed away at 2:50 pm on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at his residence in Marion. He was born in Peru, Indiana in 1943, to Allie and Wilma (Reed) Estill. On September 4, 1964, he married Janet (Hunt) Estill and she survives.
Dale graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1962.
Dale courageously served as a Marion Fire Fighter for 28 years, and subsequently retired from Chrysler in Kokomo after 10 years. Dale was a true Patriot and proudly served our country in the United States Navy. He attended Unity Christian Church. He loved to take care of his family, enjoyed his grandchildren, and his favorite hobby, fishing.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Janet, two sons, Troy D. (Tammie) Estill of Charlotte, MI, Todd (Kandice) Estill of Bluffton, IN; two grandsons, Tyler of Charlotte, MI, Emerson of Bluffton; three granddaughters, Tara of Charlotte, MI, Audry and Sophia of Bluffton and Tyler's mother, Deborah Haas of Delton, MI.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allie V. and Wilma M. (Reed) Estill.
The family will receive visitors from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion.
A celebration of Dale's life will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2019, at the funeral home with his burial following at Grant Memorial Park.
