She was born February 6, 1925 in Lebanon, Oklahoma to the late Charlie Ross Orr and Susie Bell Isbell Orr. Evelyn was raised in McMillan. She married John Henry Cox on February 12, 1949 in Gainesville, Texas and he preceded her in death on January 1, 1997. She lived in Marshall County her entire life and she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Madill. Evelyn enjoyed cooking, sewing and loved her grandchildren.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 7 brothers; Hubert, Jack, Freeman, Gene, Earl, Ira and Roy Orr and 1 sister; Pauline Cox
