Norman J. O’Leske, age 77, of Manitowoc, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in Manitowoc.

He was born on Aug. 18, 1931, in Manitowoc, son of the late William and Marie (Pitroski) O'Leske. On Nov. 26, 1949, he married the former Lois T. Peserance in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on Oct. 4, 2006. Norman owned and operated Club Bil-Mar with his wife, Lois, and brother, LeRoy. Most recently he was a Realtor with Coldwell Banker.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law: Sandra Schwartz Van Horn and Thomas Van Horn, Manitowoc, Kristine and David Thomley, Montello, Barbara Swiggum and family friend Jason Smolka, Manitowoc; four grandchildren: Brenda Funaro, St. Petersburg, Florida, Travis (Dacia) Thomley, Portage, Corrie (Al) Muhowski, Manitowoc, Chelsey Swiggum, Manitowoc; four great-grandchildren: Taylor; Morgan, Kaden, and Marek; a brother: LeRoy O’Leske, Manitowoc; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Vernon and Fraila Lesperance, Lake Placid, Florida. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by a son-in-la: Michael Schwartz.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
