Mary Strouf, age 79, of 2401 Friday St., Manitowoc, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2001, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Larry McCann will officiate.
Mary was born Nov. 22, 1921 in Manitowoc, the daughter of the late Edward and Gertrude Granzow Allen. She attended schools in Manitowoc and graduated with the class of 1939 from Lincoln High School. She married Kenneth R. Strouf March 14, 1942 in Manitowoc.
Survivors include her husband Kenneth, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Mary Kay and Jean-Paul Borie, Marseille, France, Patricia and Richard Filzen, Reedsville, Jean Rae Strouf, San Diego, Calif.; three grandchildren, Sarah Filzen, Milwaukee Christopher Borie, Burlington, Vt., Patrick Borie, Marrisville, N.C.; other relatives and friends also survive. Mary was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Allen and George Allen.
The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
