(1937 - 2005)

Edmin “Terry” Sweeney, age 67, a Manitowoc resident, died Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Terry was born June 21, 1937 at Minocqua, son of the late Edward J. and Minnie (Strasburg) Sweeney. He grew up and was educated at Milwaukee and graduated from Solomon Juneau High School with the class of 1955. He was employed as a truck technician retiring from Broadway Chevrolet, Green Bay, in 2002. On Jan. 15, 1966, he married Karen E. Klug at Manitowoc. They celebrated over 39 years together. Terry was an active member as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He enjoyed his family, camping, gardening, fishing and hunting.

Terry is survived by his wife: Karen, Manitowoc; their children: Neal (Victoria Lee) Sweeney, Kaukauna; Leah (Michael) Windsor, Manitowoc; Joel (Melissa) Sweeney, Manitowoc; Wendy (Daniel) Brecken, Shawano; Jonathan Sweeney, at home; three grandchildren: Andre, Victoria Nicole and Edmin Sweeney; his mother-in-law: Ruth Klug, Manitowoc; three sisters: Dorothy (Leroy) Martin, Tucson, Ariz.; Edith Witte, Antioch, Ill.; Kathleen Sweeney, Tucson, Ariz.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Terry is preceded in death by a sister: Ann Roeglin; his father-in-law: Raymond Klug; and a niece; Pam Martin.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2005 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4915 Hecke Rod, Manitowoc, Vern Rosenbauer will officiate.

Relatives and friends may greet the family after noon Saturday until the time of service at 1:30 p.m.

The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is serving the Sweeney family.

The family would like to thank the staff at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center for their compassion and care during Dad’s illness. Your kindness will not be forgotten.
