REEDSPORT - A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Reedsport for Judy Bedard of Reedsport, who died April 24 of emphysema. She was 72.
She was born Feb. 17, 1936, in Deadwood, S.D., to Marcus and Louise Heutzenroeder Schmele. She married Donald L. Bedard on Nov. 23, 1954, in Lebanon.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her mother, Louise Clinton Stewart; two daughters, Cindy Bedard of Culp Creek, and Mona Eberhart of San Diego; four sons, Mark of Reedsport, Kelly of Louisiana, Kerry of San Diego, and Ben of Roseburg; three brothers, Larry Schmele of Waldport, Carl Schmele of Clatskanie, and Craig Schmele of Corvallis; a sister, Nina Selby of Lebanon; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her husband died previously.
