JAMES W. SUETTINGER

James W. Suettinger, age 85, of 315 Parkway Blvd, Two Rivers, died Thursday
evening, October 25, 2012, at the Hamilton Care Center, Two Rivers.
Jim was born April 19, 1927, in Two Rivers, son of the late Walter and Helen
(Schroeder) Suettinger. He graduated from Washington High School with the class
of 1945. Jim served in the U.S. Air Force. On September 8, 1979, he married the
former Sharon Timm at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Two Rivers. Jim was the
owner and President of Suettinger Hardware, Inc., established in 1862, in Two
Rivers. Jim was a member of the Two Rivers Elk’s Club, and Knights of Columbus.
He loved waiting on his customers, bowling, and traveling with his wife.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Suettinger, Two Rivers; seven children:
Holly (Roy) Engelland, Two Rivers; Rachele (John) Kopecky, Grimms; William
(Debbie) Suettinger, Manitowoc; Stacy (Lee) Yauger, Milwaukee; Melissa Vanne,
Shoto; Sheila Vanne (special friend Troy Messman), Two Rivers; Jess (Jill)
Vanne, Two Rivers; 17 grandchildren: Ronalee Johnson, Brad Nesper, Stephanie
Bates, Nathan Kopecky, Michael Kopecky, Tanya Matuszewski, William "BJ" Loberger,
Tiffany Bowdish, Elizabeth Yauger, Allison Yauger, Willy Yauger, Miranda Anderson,
Melinda Hoffman, Montana Hoffman, Katelynn Braun, Derek Braun, Haley Vanne; 11
great grandchildren; Sam and Noah Johnson, Braedy and Lily Nesper, Ashleigh and
Sophie Bates, Myla Kopecky, Elianna, Hayden, Aliyah Matuszewski; soon to arrive
baby Bowdish; two sisters: Peggy Beckwith, Aurora, CO; Helen Ann (Don) Bleser;
Two Rivers; sister-in-law: Ann Suettinger, Two Rivers; brother-in-law: Bill Timm,
Stewartville, MN; Mickey Timm, Rockport, TX; sister-in-law: Mary Noel-Timm,
Riverside, RI; and a brother-in-law: Pete Fruin, Bedford, NH. Nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends also survive.
Jim was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law: Patrick and Lois Mee;
sister and brother-in-law: Carol and Frank Mahan; brother: John Suettinger,
sister-in-law: Cheryl Fruin; brother-in-law: Terry Timm; and mother and father-
in-law: Howard and Ione Timm.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 29, 2012, at St.
Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the mass of
Christian Burial will be Rev. Tom Reynebeau with burial to follow at Holy Cross
Cemetery, Two Rivers. Military Honors will be accorded by the Two Rivers V.F.W.
and American Legion.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, October 29, 2012, at St.
Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
