John Englert Dead
John Englert, whose illness was mentioned in these columns several days died at his home in Castanea Township, close to the city limits, south of the P & E Statin, at 11 o’clock this morning, aged 30 years and 2 weeks. The cause of his death was malaria and inflammation of the bowels. A wife and three children, the oldest of whom is only four years of age, survive the deceased. Funeral announcement will appear tomorrow.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral of John Englert, whose death we announced yesterday will take place tomorrow morning, leaving the late home of the deceased at 10 o’clock for the German Settlement Church, where services will be held at 11:30 o’clock.

THREE SICK IN ONE FAMILY.
John Englert, brother to Mrs. A. Zessinger, is quite ill at his home near the Myers farm in Castanea township, with inflammation of the bowels. This sickness follows closely upon the heels of an attack of typhoid from which Mr. Englert had just revered. To add to the troubles of the family Mrs. Englert’s [Amada Blesh Englert] sister is also sick, likewise the former’s child, all three invalids being in a serious condition.
