Born in Moundsville, W. VA, PFC Crim served in the US Marine Corps during World War II from 1943 to 1945 as a truck driver with service number 758489. She went through boot camp at Camp LeJeune and was also stationed at Camp LeJeune, NC, then later at New River NC. Upon her discharge she was with Alpha Company 2nd Bn Women's Reserve Center.
Her husband Walter predeceased her and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Everly Wheatley Funeral Home in Alexandria, VA was taking care of her. She resided at the Greenspring Retirement Village in Springfield, VA. She belonged to the group called "The Greenspring Marines". The Greenspring Marines was founded by Brigadier General William "Wild Bill" Weise USMC (Ret). The manager of Greenspring Marines is Major Michael G. McGrady USMC (Ret).
