Contributor's Aunt - Laura Louise (Koenig) Price, age 83, passed away suddenly on the evening of July 3rd, 2007. She was born on April 6, 1924, in Bangor, Maine, the daughter of William Philip and Martha Louise (Goodell) Koenig. A resident of Erie, Pennsylvania, for many years, she was a resident of Kent, Ohio, for the past 20 years. Laura was a self-employed care giver. Before relocating to Kent, she resided in Totts Gap, PA, providing care to her mother, and then to her Aunt Helen Goodell, prior to their deaths. Laura was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Ravenna, Ohio, where she was active as a reader. She loved playing cards and bingo. In addition to her parents and aunt, she was preceeded in death by her husband Edgar Tom Price in 1976, and her longtime companion Richard Hendrickson in 2003. She is survived by a daughter and three sons, seven grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren, a sister, and a number of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She also had numerous close friends at Silver Oaks Place in Kent, where she resided. Arrangements and cremation were handled by the Green Family Funeral Home in Mantua. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Laura Price will be held at Green Family Funeral Home at 1PM on Saturday, July 21st, 2007.
