ERIN BRUCE CLANCY
March 18, 1938 ~ June 16, 2019
Born on March 18, 1938, in Santa Fe, New Mexico to Lewis and Katherine Clancy. The family moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma in 1941 where Erin graduated from Muskogee High School in 1956.
Erin ended his earthly life on Sunday, June 16, 2019 Norman, Oklahoma.
He entered the United States Air Force in June of 1956 where he trained as an Aircraft Mechanic at Sheppard Air Force Base and completed his active duty at Travis Air Force Base. Following his active duty, he served 2 additional years in the Active Reserves and received an Honorable Discharge in January of 1961.
Erin began his civilian career at Tinker Air Force Base in 1961 and retired in January 1998. Erin drove a Norman Public School bus from 1998 through 2008.
Erin was married to Elizabeth Ann Howe in October of 1963 at First Baptist Church Norman by Preacher Hallock.
Erin is survived by Elizabeth, his wife of 55 years; Daughter Susan Clancy, Vancouver WA;
Brother, Russel Clancy, Wichita KS; Niece Karen Miller, Wichita KS; Nephews Greg Howe, OH and Brad Howe, Italy.
Erin and Elizabeth joined First Baptist Church Norman in 1965 where they were active members. Erin filled many positions and areas of responsibilities on the PA Committee, sang in the choir, led the origin of the FBC Tape/CD ministry in 2005 and was ordained as a Deacon in 1979.

Erin was cremated and the ashes were held until his wife Elizabeth died. Erin was inured July 19, 2022 with Elizabeth, in the IOOF Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma.
