Edward Fessey Lankford – Age 88 of Wartrace, TN. September 9, 2019. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all. Ed, as he was known by, was born December 13, 1931 in Carthage, TN to Coleman and Mai Lankford, the 5th child of five. He was preceded in death by all of his siblings. They were Nelson Lankford, Elson Lankford, Genie Lankford and Geraldine Kemp. He graduated from Smith County High School and joined the Navy.

He was employed at L & C Insurance company after he left the Navy. He was married to Maye Williams Lankford on June 15, 1957. They were parents to Tiffany (David) Bobo and Letitia (Kirk) Strange. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Zach Fee, Gavin Fee, Garrett Upfold, Addie Upfold and Hope Strange; 3 great grandchildren, Sophia Fee, Lylah Fee and Wren Fee. He was a member of Tusculum Church of Christ where he was treasurer for many years and also served as a deacon. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Tusculum Church of Christ, 6117 Nolensville Road by Bill Peach. Visitation will be Friday from 12 – 2 p.m. at the Church. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. His Family will serve as Pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to AGAPE and Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, Inc. Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 615-331-1952.
