Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.
Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Hodgson Funeral Home Ltd., Rock Island, with a wake service at 6:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the church.
Ilene was born Jan. 23, 1909, the daughter of Alexander and Alice Stamp Clark. She married Harold Bentley Nov. 27, 1927, in Rock Island. He died April 5, 1954.
She had been employed at Regalia Manufacturing, Rock Island, where she was a seamstress. She worked on the Gold Star Flag for Sullivan Brothers during World War II. Prior to that she had worked at the former New York Store, Rock Island.
She was a member of AARP, Sacred Heart Church, Rock Island, Ladies' Sodality of the church, the Secular Franciscan Order and Daughters of Isabella.
Ilene made cardboard farm buildings and toys for her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing games with her grandchildren. She enjoyed Yahtzee, solitaire, bunco and crossword puzzles and decorating birthday cakes for her family. She enjoyed all crafts and crocheted afghans for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also made hats for a mission in Alaska.
Survivors include a daughter, Joan Freese, East Moline; sons (and spouses), Gerald (Shirley) Bentley, Silvis, and Richard (Helen) Bentley, Rock Island; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Alice Granet, Colona; and a brother, Charles Clark, Silvis. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers and sisters, Frank, Douglas, William, Kenneth, Alvin, Donald and Louis Clark, Abby Peck and Phyllis Clark.
