She is survived by her sister, Maria Morales of Gary; brother, Raymond Acevedo of Schererville; nephews: James A. (Anne) Acevedo, Abe Morales Jr. and Joe (Susan) Rios; great nieces and great nephews; sister-in- law, Gloria Acevedo; and brother-in-law, Stanley Rios Preceded in death by her mother, Vicenta Acevedo; brother, John; sister, Margaret Rios; and brother-in-law, Abe Morales. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Avenue, Griffith. Burial will follow at St. John-St. Joseph Cemetery in Hammond. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday May 17, 2011 from 3:00 p.m.-8:000 p.m. at White Funeral Home. Frances was a former member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in East Chicago. She retired from Inland Steel after 30 years. Frances was an avid reader and gardener, enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cooking.
