Rex Gean Penney, age 28, of Bellevue, Was killed at 2:55 P.M. Monday, when his pickup was hit head on by another pickup on M-66. Rex was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, graduated from Harper Creek Schools in 1965 and attended Kellogg Community College. He was employed in the power plant of Post Division, Generel Foods Corp. He was a member of Whitmer Memorial Wesleyan Church, the Bellevue Jacees and Local 374 AFL-CIO.

He is survived by his widow, the Former Sandra Jean Lashley, daughter Sonya and son Rex, Both at home; a sister, Kitty Dorton of Battle Creek, a brother, Roy R. Penny of Gulfport, Miss, a half brother, Scott Powers of Battle Creek, a half sister, Renee Powewrs of Battle Creek, His motrher, Mrs Suzanne Powers of Battle Creek and his step-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Forest Powers of Climax.

Arrangements are by Farlewy Funeral Home.
