Randall Leroy DeShan, of McKinney, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 12th, 2019.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Powell DeShan of Spur Texas, his son Jay Brent and wife Tammy of San Jose, California, and their three adult children, Justin, Jeremy, and Jason. He is also survived by his son Monte of McKinney, Texas, his son Todd and wife Kelli of Garland, Texas, and his sister Theda DeShan Brooks of Georgetown, Texas, her husband Bill Brooks, and their adult daughters, Tymi Scott and Ginger Ross.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Ida DeShan of Snyder, Texas.

Randall, (or Randy as he went by,) was born January 13th,1938 in Drumright Oklahoma, but spent a great deal of his youth in Snyder, Texas, graduating from high school there in 1955. He went on to obtain a B.B.A from Texas Tech College in 1960.

He worked as an executive for Seagram’s Distillery for 21 years, where he retired to build his own chain of beer and wine stores. He owned Ran-Nan, Inc. with his wife Nancy, for 21 years. During this time, he also operated a check cashing business with an emphasis towards builders and their sub-contractors.

He was an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Allen, Texas, where he headed the Stewardship committee. He loved this team and the honor of his role.

He built his home in the country outside of McKinney, which we lovingly knew as "The Rusty Spur."

Randy was a Christian, a great family man, a mentor, a generous soul, a Scout Leader, a youth sport’s coach, and a very enthusiastic Dallas Cowboy’s fan (and decades long season ticket holder.)

A Celebration of Randy’s life will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 605 S. Greenville Ave., Allen, Texas at 6PM, Sept. 18th.
