Isaac Lutcher, noted musical instrumentalist in Lake Charles for over half a century, is dead at age 82. The father of Nellie Lutcher, celebrated American vocalist and Isaac (Bubba) Lutcher, Lake Charles disc jockey, Mr. Lutcher died at 5 p.m. Monday at his home at 512 Enterprise boulevard. Nicknamed "Skinner," he was a bass player for 45 years on the Rex, an excursion boat which operated between Lake Charles and Cameron during the early part of this century. Mr. Lulcher was employed for over 40 years by the [iousto n Packing company of Lake Charles. He was a pioneer in the Lake Charles area. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Gilmore funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Susie Lutcher of Lake Charles; four sons, Isaac (Bubba) Lutcher and Bennic Lutcher, both of Lake Charles, Rev. Joseph W. Lulcher and James Lutcher, both of Los Angeles, Calif.

Also six daughters. Miss Nellie Lulcher, Mrs. Florida Morgan, Mrs. Florence Monettc. Mrs. Eugenia Jackson, Mrs. Margie Levy and Mrs. Vydah Dixon, all of Los Angeles.

Obit (Jan. 6, 1963) —Isaac Lutcher, Funeral services for Isaac Lutcher, 82, a native of Franklin who had resided in Lake Charles for 60 years, will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the New Sunlight Baptist Church with Rev. V.E. Washington officiating. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of Gilmore funeral home. Mr. Lutcher, a past deacon of the New Sunlight Baptist church, died Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. at his residence at 512 Enterprise Boulevard. He was a former member of the American Woodmen. Susie Lutcher (Nellie’s mother) is buried in Los Angeles, California
