Fayette County - RUTH BROWN GARNER, 80, resident of the Oakland Community and wife of Joseph C. Garner, died May 17, 2007. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with interment in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Hwy. 64. A visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Peebles West Chapel. Mrs. Garner was a Catholic, retired from South Central Bell and later served as Oakwood Apartments Manager in Somerville. Survivors include her husband; her sons, Paul Garner (Melissa) of Memphis, John Garner of Somerville; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.
