Eleanor Ann Hoffman

Tewksbury Twp - Eleanor Ann Hoffman, age 84, of Tewksbury Twp., NJ passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ.

She was born on May 3, 1935 in Lebanon, NJ. She was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County and lived in the same home for 63 years.

She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel Lare Apgar.

Her beloved husband, Daniel Harold Hoffman, passed away in January of 2018 after 61 years of marriage.

Eleanor worked for many years for United Telephone Systems. She started her career as an Operator and retired as a Supervisor in the early 1980's.

Eleanor was very proud of her husband's US Marine Corps service and his Purple Heart decoration. Years ago she was a very active member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart Auxiliary.

She was also a member of the Anna Crump Circle in Cokesbury, NJ.

Eleanor enjoyed gardening and crocheting. She also loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons; Kevin Kyle Hoffman and his wife Annette of Tewksbury Twp., NJ and Daniel Arthur Hoffman and his wife Janet of Bath, PA. Two grandchildren; Kevin Kyle Hoffman II and Danielle Ann Hoffman, both of Tewksbury Twp., NJ.

Predeceased by one brother; Clarence Apgar and her two beloved dogs that she adored; Jake and Pepper.

Calling hours will be Sunday, September 22, 2019 from 1pm - 4pm. Funeral service will take place on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 11am. All at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. Interment at Mountain View Cemetery in Cokesbury, NJ.

Memorials can be made to the Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822 or Cokesbury United Methodist Church, 610 Cokesbury Road, Lebanon, NJ 08833.
