Mr. Anderson worked as a blacksmith for several forging and casting companies. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and refinishing furniture.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his children, Sheila Arch, Golda (Gary) Crouch, and Charles D. Anderson; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Sue Irene Anderson; and his daughter, Veronica "Ronni" Sermersheim.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-9 p.m., and funeral service Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R, Madison Heights. Entombment will be at Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester Hills. Memorial donations may be made to Veterans Services.
