Russell Allen Sibley, Jr., age 34 of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019. He was born February 4, 1985 in Baton Rouge, LA, the son of Mary “Lisa” Sibley Benefield and the late Russell Allen Sibley, Sr. He was a 2003 graduate of Mt. Zion High School and was employed as a diesel mechanic with Truck Service Depot. He attended Unity Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Erica Noles Sibley and her parents Victor “Butch” & Raylene Carroll and Wesley & Sherrie Noles; son, Russell Allen “Trae” Sibley, III of Carrollton; mother, Mary “Lisa” Sibley Benefield & her husband David of Wedowee, AL; paternal grandmother, Marlene Sibley Brown of Walker, LA; brothers: Kyle Allen Sibley & his wife Katie Lynn of Denham Springs, LA and Cole Allen Sibley of Carrollton; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Unity Baptist Church with Pastor Randy King and Pastor Wesley Noles officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 PM on Tuesday. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: LaJay Watts, Shawn Herring, Andrew Gentry, Tim Bumgarner, Ronnie Jordan, Scotty Johnson, Johnny Stapleton, and Russ Branon. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
