MUNROE, Bessie Janet - 88, Cole Harbour, Guysborough County, died March 29, 1993 in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Peas Brook, Guysborough County, she was a daughter of the late John F. and Catherine (Kennedy) Ehler. She was a retired school teacher, having taught in Guysborough and Antigonish counties for a number of years. She was a member of St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church, where she was organist for 67 years and member of ACW. She is survived by three daughters, Ethel (Mrs. Ira George), Upper White Head; Anna (Mrs. James Sully), Oshawa, Ont.; Mabel (Mrs. Neil Bright), Pickering, Ont.; son, John, Weston, Ont.; three sisters, Annie (Mrs. Harry Duncan), Trenton, Pictou County; Mabel (Mrs. Arthur Mason), Head of St. Margarets Bay; Winnifred (Mrs. Howard Scott), Halifax; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, William; brother, Wilfred; a grandson and great-grandson. The body has been cremated. The family will receive visitors 2-9 p.m. Thursday in St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church, Cole Harbour, where funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, Rev. Paul Wilkie officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery. Donations may be made Guysborough Memorial Hospital or St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church. Arrangements under the direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso.
