Mary A. "Dolly" Herron, 97, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 in Dodge City, Kansas. She was born June 2, 1923 on a farm north of Wright, Kansas the daughter of Frank and Mollie (Schiffner) Birzer.
She worked a variety of different jobs but most importantly was a stay-at-home Mom raising her son and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed baking and cooking for her grandkids. Playing pitch with her friends and riding horses when she was younger.
Survivors include: her son, Clark and wife Lisa Herron, Cimarron, Ks.; 2 grandchildren, Kiesha Carmona and husband Jeremy, Dodge City and Michaela Pena and husband Trey, Overland Park, Ks.; 4 grandchildren, Elayna and E'vett Carmona and Emmitt and Isla Pena; 2 brothers, Lawrence "Larry" Birzer, Meridian, Mississippi and Lee Birzer and wife Lou of Wichita, Ks.
Dolly was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers, Frank, Fred, Albert, Jim, John and Edward Birzer; 3 sisters, Alma Talley, Helen Carrier and Elsie McComas.
Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021 at the Cimarron Cemetery with David Johnson officiating.
