(1944 - 2007)

Warren D. Otto, age 63, of 4012 Otto Lane, Valders, died unexpectedly of congestive heart failure Monday evening, April 23, 2007, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Warren was born March 10, 1944, in the town of Liberty, son of Naomi (Bruhn) and the late Norbert Otto. He graduated from Valders High School with the class of 1962 and attended the University Wisconsin Farm Short Course. On May 2, 1964, he married the former Judy Pankratz at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz. Warren farmed in the Valders area for over 30 years. He also ran Liberty Sand and Gravel which was his retirement and hobby. Warren enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and many friends, and loved bowling, golfing, deer trapping and socializing with his many friends. He had a wonderful gift of gab.

Survivors include his wife: Judy Otto, Valders; one son and daughter-in-law: David and Jill Otto, Valders, and their children: Brittany, Drew, Brooke and Bailey; three daughters and sons-in-law: Debbie and Kevin Reis, rural Manitowoc, and their children: Tiffany, Dillon and Cassie; Laurie and Mark "Tooter" Andrastek, Manitowoc, and their children: Tyler and Max; Joy and Lloyd Stahl, Valders, and their children: Bradley, Brett and Cody; his mother: Naomi Otto; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Allen and Peg Otto, Platteville; Wayne and Liz Otto, Valders; Glen and Debby Otto, Valders; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Carolyn and Dan Lorenz, Shirley; Janice Otto, St. Nazianz; one brother-in-law: Carl Hagenow, Reedsville; three sisters-in-law: Jane Schaller, St. Nazianz; Dee Pankratz, St. Nazianz; Shirley Pankratz, Sussex; one brother-in-law: Pete Pankratz, Savage, Minn. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one sister: Katherine Hagenow.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, St. Nazianz, on Thursday, April 26, 2007, from 3 p.m. until the time of the prayer service at 6 p.m. led by Deacon Jim Steffen. Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Valders Ambulance.

The Christiansen and Deja Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Valders, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
Warren's love of his life was his grandchildren and the time he spent with them. He lived life to the fullest and was always the life of the party.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Valders Emergency Responders, for their care and compassion and efforts shown toward Warren and his family.
