He attended Silver Creek High School and Purdue University, and served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Phillips Petroleum as a regional sales manager, then as a general contractor and luxury home builder in Atlanta Georgia. Doug was an accomplished musician. Doug and Mary Alice were married 62 years and had lived in the Atlanta Georgia area for decades.
They are survived by Kay Kranz Stiles and Betsy Kranz Jones (nieces); Ruth Agnes McCauley Stuart (sister) and her family (husband Doug and children Holly, James and Michael).
A brief gravesite service will be held on Saturday September 28 at 11:00a.m. at the Sellersburg Cemetery.
