Services for Riley Edward McFarlin, 82, of Santa Anna were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 29, 1987 at First Christian Church, with burial following in the Santa Anna Cemetery. Santa Anna Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He passed away Tuesday at Brownwood Regional Hospital.
Born February 27, 1904 in Williamson County, he married Reta May Smith. He was a retired Baptist preacher and a farmer and rancher.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Billie Joy Wheatley of Santa Anna; one sister, Mrs. Fannie Bevils of Centerville, La; and one grandchild, Danny Wheatley. One daughter, Juanita Hammock and one grandson, Jimmie Wheatley, preceded him in death.
Pallbearers were James Avants, James Smith, J. C. [Dude] Seratte, Burl Brown, David Barkley and Charlie Wells."
