McCORMICK - Dillard Lelion Madden, 63, of Cedarhill Road, died June 2, 1991 at his home.
Born in Elbert County, Ga., he was owner and operator of Madden's Enterprises of McComrick. He was the son of Lelion Iva and Mozelle Lovinggood Madden of McCormick. For the past 33 years he made his home in McCormick. He was a member of McCormick First Baptist Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Woodmen of the World; and he was an Army veteran.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Diane Wright of Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Nancy Tollison of Abbevile and Miss Mary Anna Madden of Augusta, Ga.; four sons, Carl Anthony Madden, Dillard L. Madden Jr., and James Carroll Madden, all of Atlanta, Charles Jackson Madden of Greenwood; four sisters, Addie Lou Hilley of Greenwood, Mrs. Joanna Ellis of Abbeville, Mrs. Mozelle Seigler of Plum Branch, Mrs. Dot Howard of Greenwood; one brother, Charles Madden of McCormick; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at McCormick First Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Kauffman officiating.
Burial will be in Overbrook Cemetery in McCormick.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Ellis, James Broome, Roger Seigler and Darrell Seigler, Jimmy Wilson, and Van Madison, and Darrell Hilley, Willie Dorn and Lee Davis.
The body is at Strom Funeral Home where the family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9.
The family is at the home of his brother, Charles Madden of McCormick.
