Joseph H. Bouya, 78, of Oregon, Ohio, died Monday, December 20, 1999 in St. Charles Mercy Hospital. He worked at Hostess and Wonder Bread Bakeries for 30 years. A member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, he was active in its Holy Name Society and Men's Bowling League. Joe was an avid fisherman.

Surviving are his wife, Helen (Ankenbrandt); 4 stepchildren; sisters, Jeanette Campey, Grace (Ernest) Smith, Hazel (John) Pollauf, and Betty (Andrew) Krompak; five grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta (Goulet).

Friends may call at Hoeflinger Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Wednesday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m., where a Scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday at 12:30 p.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, where the family will receive friends after 12 noon. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Joe's memory will be appreciated.
