Thomas Disney was born in Goderich, Canada, January 22, 1852. He was married to Miss Christina Murray August 9, 1882. To Mr. and Mrs. Disney were born two sons and one daughter. They lived three years in Pennsylvania and the past twenty-two years in Kansas. Mr. Disney suffered from cancer of the stomach for some months. In March it was decided that an operation was imperative and he was taken to a hospital in Denver where the doctors decided he was beyond help from earthly physicians. He was resigned to his lot and made preparation to meet his Creator and Savior and died in the Christians hope on March 30.
A loving wife a son and a daughter, with many relatives and friends to mourn his untimely desease (sic) but they sorrow in hope. Mr. Disney was an industrious, successful farmer and a man of many good traits of character he will be missed by many old friends.
Rev. J.F. Childress Conducted the funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Congressional Church. The body was interred in Mount Hope cemetery.
