Lamonte Derrick Johnson was born to James and Alma Johnson in Youngstown Ohio at Southside Hospital.
He loved animals and he loved to grow vegetables and most of all he loved his lord. He was a very religious person.
Due to his family traveling a lot, he attended many different elementary and middle schools then graduating from Annandale High school in 1978, in Annandale, Va. He also enjoyed wrestling in High School so much so that he placed 3rd in state wrestling and also got a partial scholarship for ODU University in which he attended. He worked at Giant for a number of years.
Lamonte passed peacefully in his sleep into the loving arms of the lord for which he cherished.

Lamonte Johnson married Donatienne Pago in 1983. He leaves behind three children, Donatienne Williams, Elizabeth Johnson, and Lilliane (Vincent Veronique).
His sister Joyce (Raymond Wormsley), brother Duane (Betty Johnson) sister Cristal (Everard Stewart) and brother James (Debera Johnson). Lamonte also had three grandchildren Mya Vasquez, Aniya Williams and Liah Montgomery. He also had a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
