Edward "Clive" Anderson, Jr., age 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 28, 2019. Clive was born January 15, 1938 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Edward Clive Anderson, Sr. and Ruby Hill Anderson. Clive married Mary Virginia (Jones) Anderson in 1958.

He graduated from David Lipscomb High School and was a longtime member of Otter Creek Church of Christ. During high school he won a competition to "DJ" a youth hour on WLAC Radio, which led to his first job as sound engineer for John Richbourg, Hoss Allen and Gene Nobles. After several memorable years in the radio business he joined his father at Clive Anderson Realty and Auction Company where he enjoyed 55 years in the real estate and auction business.

As a Realtor, he was a charter member of the Tennessee Auctioneers Association, past president, & Hall of Fame member. He was a member of the National Auctioneers Association, co-founder of the Middle Tennessee Auctioneers Group and director of The Auction Profession Foundation of Tennessee. He served eight years on the board of directors of Franklin Road Academy. Clive was a strong supporter of children's charities and schools. He conducted many fundraising auctions throughout the years. Clive retired in 2007 which allowed him to have many wonderful years with his wife, family and friends.

Clive is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Virginia (Jones) Anderson and his parents Edward Clive Anderson Sr. and Ruby Hill Anderson.

Clive is survived by his brother, Steven Thomas Anderson (Janice) and his five children; Thomas Edward Anderson (Stacey), David Clive Anderson (Kathy), Samuel Forrest Anderson (Jennifer), Susan Anderson Burns (Kent), Daniel Hill Anderson (Brooke); 12 grandchildren, Kayla Anderson Marinell (Quade), Ashley Anderson, Rhonda Anderson, Robert Anderson, John Anderson, Julia Anderson, Samuel Anderson, Elizabeth Anderson, Mary Jordan Burns, Virginia Burns, Mitchell Anderson and Hill Anderson.

A visitation will be held at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on Thursday, October 3 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. A private service will immediately follow the visitation.

The Anderson family is appreciative of the loving care of the Woodcrest at Blakeford.
