Mrs. Jacob Bonk, nee Veronica Katzka, 75, of 1212 South 20th street, Manitowoc, died early Thursday at her home after a lingering illness.


Mrs. Bonk was born in 1875 in Poland and came to this country 60 years ago, settling in Manitowoc county.


Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Leschke funeral home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic church, Manitowoc, Rev. John Landowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.


Survivors are a son, Sylvester Bonk, and two step sons, Stanley and Frank Bonk, all of Manitowoc; five daughters, Mrs. Edward Delanty and Mrs. Ben Budnik, both of Milwaukee, Mrs. Alvin Lewis and Mrs. Albert Kadow, both of Manitowoc and Miss Catherine Bonk at home; a brother, Martin Katzka of Coleman, Wis.; a sister, Mrs. Anna Tomchek, and four step sisters, Mrs. John Gospodarek, Mrs. Bernard Dzingelsky, Mrs. Magdaline Skorbeski and Miss Emma Kowalski, all of Manitowoc; 13 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Five children preceded her in death.


Friends may call at the funeral home from 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9 until the time of services. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday.
