Marilyn J. (Lutz) Obester, age 71 of 1302 S. 32nd Street, Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning May 25, 2011, at Aurora Bay Care, Green Bay.

Marilyn was born on July 30, 1939 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late James and Agnes (O'Connor) Hoffman. She was a graduate of Home of the Good Shepard in Milwaukee with the class of 1957. Marilyn was the owner of Wisconsin Connection Tours Inc. She was a member of the American Bus Association, National Tourism Association, Manitowoc Literacy Council, she was also a past president of Circle Wisconsin, and a multiple recipient of Bergstrom Hospitality President Award. Marilyn's passions were spending time with her grandchildren, painting, reading and teaching.

Marilyn is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law: Cheryl and Pat Sullivan, Manitowoc and Pamela and Ken Dennison, Green Bay; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Darren and Tina Lutz, Green Bay and Troy Obester, Manitowoc; 11 grandchildren: Micheal LaFond, Matthew Beard, Brittany Obester, Mason Sullivan, Chloe Lutz, Paige Sullivan, Matthew Dennison, Gracie Dennison, Seamus Lutz, Brian Sullivan, and Jerrod Sullivan; five great grandchildren, four sisters: Bernadine Klein, Manitowoc; Roberta Komorowski, Manitowoc; Betty Devereaux, MI; and Marion Hoffman, Virginia; two sisters-in-law: Judy Kasbohm and Peggy Kashbohm. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends. Marilyn is preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers-in-law: Rita and Jim Pattison; Doris and William Fiecko Pattison; Harry Klein; Art Komorowski and Tom Devereaux; two brothers: William Kasbohm and Francis Kasbohm; and two special friends: Tiki and Chaser.

Funeral Services for Marilyn will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dan Felton with burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth.

Family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo on Friday, May 27, 2011, from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
