(1950 - 2016)

Floyd Eugene "KC" Owens Sr. (formerly of Whitelaw, WI) passed away peacefully in his home in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Floyd was born May 2, 1950 to the late Robert Ezell Owens and Zeola (Nelson) Owens in Little Rock, Arkansas. Floyd accepted Christ at a very young age and was baptized at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Little Rock, AR, where he served on the Junior Usher Board. He attended Wrightsville Elementary and Sweet Home High School before moving to Kansas City, Missouri. Floyd later joined the US Army and served in Vietnam. He met and married Sharon (McGlin) Owens on January 8, 1976 in Wisconsin.

Floyd leaves behind his wife: Sharon (McGlin) Owens, Manitowoc; three sons: Floyd (Pangtang) Owens Jr, Appleton, Aundre (Cyrena) Owens, Two Rivers, Cedric (Meghan Lederhaus) Owens, New London; six daughters: Kristy Gilliam, Kansas City, MO, Zeola (Ryan Scherer) Owens, Manitowoc, Raneatha (Arthur) Owens, Manitowoc, Mystalynn (Lorenzo) Christian, Manitowoc, LaTeecia (Damian) Groothoff, Two Rivers, Narissa (Ryan) Owens, Manitowoc; 19 grandchildren: Shai, Jaisiah, Sa'Qouiah, Trae'Andric, Jai'Alouis, Trae'Zo, Sa'Raelynn, Ryan II, Caliana, Carielle, Tyrus, Quintells, Alicia, Alayna, Jasmine, Keiana, Tashon, Shamika, Sherika; and one great grandchild: Torrie; his mother: Mrs. Zeola Owens, Wrightsville, AR; nine sisters: Gladys White, Quintella Jones, Margie Hadley, Linda Owens, all of Little Rock, AR, Veora J Saunders, Philadelphia, PA, Pecolia Owens, Kansas City, MO, Bridgett Norman, Allen, TX, Tracy Owens, Plano, TX; four brothers: Earl Lee Owens and Jimmy Lee Owens (preceded him in death), Veotis Owens, Kansas City, MO, Spencer R. Owens, Tacoma, WA; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Edward and Sally McGlin, Two Rivers, and one sister-in-law: Peggy (Joe) Reindl, Two Rivers. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins. A very special niece: "Ronnie" Veronica Saunders, Derby, PA, and many of great friends he met throughout his years.

Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and a memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 a.m.

Floyd enjoyed watching sports, was an avid fisherman, provided AA counseling and mentoring, and especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. His tall tales and his joke will be forever remembered. What a Blessed life... love, love, love.
