Mary E. Abdo, longtime resident of Danbury passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3, 2019.
Mary was born in Olean, NY; a daughter of the late Louis Abdo Rishdan and Fannie Gabriel. Mary worked for the Barden Corporation for 44 years. She was a member of St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church in Danbury and a member of the church Ladies Guild.
She is survived by her brother, John Rishdan and his wife, Delores as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was predeceased by her siblings Albert Rishdan, Aileen Shaheen, Edna Michael, Esther Define, Marcia Taylor and Lulu Montesi.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church; 17 Granville Avenue, Danbury. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury. Friends will be received on Monday morning from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at St. Anthony Church; contributions in Mary's memory may be made to St. Anthony Church or Regional Hospice and Home Care. Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, Danbury is in charge of funeral arrangements.
