OXFORD - Lewis K. Young, 86, died late Saturday evening at Pike's Hill Nursing Home, Norway, where he had been a patient one and a half years.
Born here Sept 18, 1878, he was the son of Frank and Celia Strout Young. He attended Oxford schools and was employed by Robinson Manufacturing Company for 50 years, retiring 19 years ago. He was a former member of the Sons of Union Veterans. In 1903, he married Lilly Bressette who survives him.
Other survivors include three sons, Kelsey and Oran, Oxford; Guy, Portland; three daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Paine, South Paris, Mrs. Katherine Mattor, Oxford; Mrs. Junetta Billings, Lewiston; 42 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
