Mrs. Parkhill passed away October 7, 2019 in Gainesville.
Janice was born April 3, 1947 in Shawnee, OK to Bruce and Betty Jo (Webb) Nelson. She married Wayne Parkhill in Gainesville on December 31, 1966. Mrs. Parkhill received her Associate’s Degree from North Central Texas College and taught math for several years in Gainesville I.S.D. She led Cub Scouts for many years and was a greatly involved member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and sang in the choir. Mrs. Parkhill was a talented poet and seamstress, and enjoyed working with ceramics and visiting WinStar. She particularly loved sharing her joys of crafting and candy while spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored.
Survivors include: son Michael Parkhill and wife Monica of Lindsay; son Marcus Parkhill and wife Paula of Gainesville; son Jason Parkhill and wife Samantha of Lindsay; grandchildren: Madison, Merrick, Brody, Alyssa, and Jenna; brother Richard Nelson and wife Connie of Granby, CO; sister Diana Eichenberger and husband Fred of Gainesville; brother David Nelson and wife Marsha of Callisburg; and life-long friend Linda (Stewart) Moore of Gainesville.
Mrs. Parkhill was preceded in death by: parents Bruce and Betty Nelson; husband Wayne Parkhill; and life-long friend Linda (Wolsey) Moore.
