On June 27, 1959, he married Patricia A. Mooney in Tulsa.
Don went to work for Keystone Darl Construction, and then went on to attend Machinist school for the drill press.
He then went to work for T.D. Williamson for 27 years where he retired as a Warehouse Supervisor.
Don and Patricia made their home in Bixby until 1978, when they moved to Sequoyah and they purchased his father's land. They raised cattle for many years.
In his spare time Donald loved attending his grandchildren's many events. He also enjoyed medal detecting and attending Will Rogers Round-up events. He supported the Sequoyah Alumni and helped raise scholarship money for the students.
