Robert Nathan Lee was born June 30, 1878 at Souneman, Illinois, and passed away April 2, 1936 at the age of 57 years, at his home in Council Bluffs.
When a small boy he moved with his parents to Dunlap where he lived until a few years ago.
In June 1898 he was united in marriage to Florence Paris and to this union twelve children were born. His wife and two children preceded him in death.
Those who are left to mourn his departure are three daughters; Mrs. Edith Rees of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Viola Moores of Omaha, and Miss Lorraine Lee at home; and seven sons; Everett, Robert, Ervin, Oliver, Carl, Roy and Raymond of Council Bluffs.
He also leaves two sisters: Mrs. Una Corby of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Sadie Rivett of Salem, Ore., and three brothers: Art of Sioux City, Sam of Dunlap, and George of Council Bluffs. There are seven grandchildren.
Eight months ago he united with the Gospel Tabernacle of which he was a faithful member.
Rev. Walter E. Smith of Council Bluffs officiated at the funeral service. Interment was made in Pleasant Hill cemetery.
