A portion of Springwood Cemetery was dedicated to 80 soldiers of the Confederacy who lost their lives in the civil war from 1861 to 1865. These men were all volunteers from the southern states of America and comported themselves well in the battle against northern aggression. Although their names are not known, we honor those who answered the call of their leaders without reservation and with extraordinary courage. Sleep well, and may God bless you all.
