Mrs. Elizabeth Abel, 56, of Route 2, Box 265, Brandon, died Sunday afternoon at a local hospital after an extended illness. Mrs. Abel was a native of Pelahatchie, but had lived in this community for many years. Services: Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. from the Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church, near Morton with burial in the Church cemetery. Baldwin Funeral Home, 4080 Highway 80 East, Pearl, in charge of all arrangements.
Survivors: Husband, Talmadge Abel of Brandon, one daughter, Mrs. Jimmy McKinley of Pearl, two sons, Clyde N. Abel, Jackson; Travis A. Abel of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Troy Lee Adcock, Dallas, Texas, and Mrs. Lamar Jordan of Pelahatchie; one brother, Vernon Beavers of Vicksburg; three grandchildren.
