Albert Linzie Cox, 75, of Duluth, met his Lord on October 6, 2019. He was born on November 5, 1943 in Braxton, Missouri, the oldest of nine children to Linzie and Mary Cox.

He attended Grant Elementary, Washington Jr. High, Central High, and UMD. He worked at a steel mill, and was a valet for the Flame Supper Club and also at the Hotel Duluth, before working as a lineman at Superwood/Georgia Pacific, retiring after 35 years.

Albert enjoyed going to the movies, and often saw two shows on the same day. He was a faithful man and a life-long member of Calvary Baptist Church in Duluth. Over the years he served the church in many capacities, such as: Chairperson of Trustee Board, Sunday School Superintendent and Teacher, Finance Committee Member, Announcement Clerk, and Pulpit Committee Member.

Albert loved his dogs, which he referred to as his “children”. He like to hunt and fish and was a sports enthusiast. He enjoyed preparing holiday meals in his crockpot for his brother, Willie, and sister, Anna.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Albert is survived by his siblings: Phillip (Portia), Willie, Mary, Linda, Louise, Florenda, Edith, and Anna; and a host of relatives and friends.
