Daniel Vincent Jaimez, 67, Lawrence, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2019.
He was born July 1, 1952 in Coffeyville, KS, the son of Jean and Julia (Rodriguez) Jaimez.
He retired from the University of Kansas where he had worked for many years.
He also enjoyed working at Weavers Department store in Lawrence.
Danny enjoyed music and listening to Reggae and Jazz it made him happy and collected sports cards and spending time with his brother Pete on the weekends.
He grew up in Lawrence and Coffeeyville, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his father; twin brother, Samuel Jaimez; brother, Timothy Jaimez and sister Christina Behrns.
He leaves behind his mother Julia of Coffeeville, KS; six brothers, Pete Jaimez of Lawrence, KS, Mike Jaimez of Topeka, KS, Andy (Rhonda) Jaimez of Coffeeville, KS, Thomas Jaimez of Lee Summit, MO and Gene Jaimez of Lawrence, KS and Allen Jaimez of Topeka, KS. He had a special bond with his nephew Antonio Jaimez and his niece Pony Girl. Danny was loved by all his nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He will be truly missed, until we meet again.
