Kathlyn "Kay" Elizabeth (Fair) , 92, Anderson, died July 9, 2007, at Saint John's Medical Center.
She was born March 1, 1915, in Hancock County, and lived most of her life in Anderson.
She retired from Delco Remy after 30 years of service and was a member of United Auto Workers Local 662. For the last several years, she resided at Beverly Terrace Apartments where she received loving care and tender friendship from the staff (especially Lynn Hensley) and fellow residents.
Survivors include a daughter, Roberta (William) Strader; a son, William (Nancy) Zehring Jr.; two sisters, Laura Atkinson and Ann (Jim) Carter; five grandchildren, Debra (Charles) Teague, Steve Strader, William (Sharon) Zehring III, Benjamin Zehring and Melinda Kay (Tom) Merrick-Livers; 10 great-grandchildren, Christopher Morgan, Alexis Strader, Rita Wagoner, Jennifer Litten, Courtney Elizabeth Merrick, Kayla Ann Merrick, Ashley Rosner, Jennifer Livers, Alexandria Livers, Jennifer (Eddy) Hubbard and several nieces, nephews and great-great-grandchildren, all of the above and many others held dear by Kay.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Zehring, whom she married in 1938; and her brother, John Darrell Fair in 1987.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with the Rev. Richard True officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
