Alfredo "Jun" Bituin Jr, age 80, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2019 at 11:40 PM at the Sub-Acute Center Little Company of Mary San Pedro CA due to diabetes and chronic kidney failure.

Final placement will be on November 12,2019 anytime between 1:00 PM to 3 PM at Green Hills Memorial Park at 27501 South Western Avenue, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90745.
Jun was born on November 10, 1938 to the late Alfredo Bituin Sr. and Juanita Roman in the town of Guagua, Pampanga Philippines. He was the youngest of five children. At age 18 his father died and he was under the care of his sister Mila. Jun became the father image for Mila’s children and was regarded as the person who inculcated discipline.
Jun was working as a Clerk at the Budget Commission where he met Lorna Aguiluz Fernandez. He fell in love with Lorna and after 5 years sealed their union at the Immaculate Conception Church on December 7, 1968 followed by a grand reception at the Sulu Hotel, Makati Philippines.
Jun and Lorna were blessed with three children, John, Fatima and Leriza. He worked hard in order to provide for the family. He was connected with the Budget Commission, Connel Brothers Carnation Milk Department, and Regional Health Office when he was in the Philippines.
Jun made a big difference in his children’s life, he is regarded as the pillar of love, security, and discipline. Affection seemed to be his middle name as he showered his children with unconditional love. As head of the family, he guaranteed them with a decent and comfortable way of living. He will always be remembered as a disciplinarian who strongly disapproves of his children’s misdeeds using tough love to prove his point.
Aside from his regular job, he was appointed as Barangay Councilor for Barangay Pinagkaisahan Cubao, Quezon City and became a public servant for 10 years. He and wife Lorna were also an active member of the Mabuhay Lions Club Quezon City Chapter undertaking numerous civic community service.
Jun is a devoted Catholic, professed his life to Christ and ardently joined various church activities. He loved working in the church and praising the Lord. Serving on several committees, always enjoying helping others. His life was a living example of his favorite Bible verse, Mathew 6:33 - “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”. He believes one must set "priorities" in order by "Putting God "First", seek to know Christ, seek to know His will and obey it.
He was an active member of the Cursillo, an apostolic movement of the Roman Catholic Church. He acted as a Rector for a Cursillo class for ten consecutive years. He sponsored classes annually held between November 7 - 10. The Cursillo class enabled opportunities for recruits to reflect on the values and goals of Christianity.
He migrated to the US on 1986 and worked at Mobile Gas Station City of Fullerton until he retired at the age of 65. In the US he was a member of the Legion of Mary engaging in corporal and spiritual works of mercy. Served as a Lay Minister at the St John XX111, in North Fontana CA. A devotee of Padre Pio and Our Lady of Guadalupe he is understood above else as a man of prayer.
In 2014 he was diagnosed with Parkinsonism, diabetes and chronic kidney disease. His weapon in competing in the race of his life were support from family, relatives, friends and faith in God. His favorite quote which kept him going was “Pray hope and don’t worry”.
In July 2018, the couple made an advance celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary at the Legacy Post-Acute Rehabilitation in San Bernardino California. What has kept them together over the decades? The tagline “I love you… yesterday, today, tomorrow, forever and always”.
Jun is survived by his wife Lorna, his children John, Fatima Lorine and Leriza Faith; daughter-in-law Jenilyn, sons-in-law Carlos and Ruel; grandchildren Jared AL, Jlyn, Kendrick AL, Karl, Azirel Xena, Hanika Rei, Reign Lasna, Heaven AL, and Adelle Louise; his sister Lourdes, and his many nephews and nieces. All of whom he loved and touched deeply.
