Lloyd Fredrick (Uncle Bud) Earnest, age 95, a resident of Sandcutt Roa, Greenville, Ala,., died Sunday, October 10, 2010. Mr. Earnest had lived for the past 10-plus years.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2010 from the chapel of Harrison Funeral Home at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Watson Wasden officiating. Burial will be in the Moore’s Memorial Gardens in Arlington, Texas on Wednesday.
Survivors include: nephew, Doug (Pat) Thomas, Greenville, Ala.; great-nephews, Seth (Jenna) Thomas, Greenville, Ala., Thomas (Kristy) Peterson, Panama City, Fla. And several cousins and friends.

Lloyd Earnest, my Mr. Earnest, was a very kind,quiet man. I met him in the nursing home in Greenville, Butler County, Alabama that we both were staying at back in 2007. He kept to his self pretty much and it took a while before he would come out of his room to visit. I loved listening to his stories about his life he would tell if asked. He loved watching the squirrels running around outside his window. He wanted to go home so badly and I knew he would be happy being with family his last days. I say "my Mr. Earnest" only that we seem to have a respect for each other and in another life we could have been.... Wish we could share an eggnog together again.
