Joseph Kristopaitis, 36 Main St., New Boston, died Monday afternoon in Ashland Hospital, where he was a patient for one day. He was born at Lost Creek No. 2, a son of the late Joseph and Eva Palchus Kristopaitis. He resided in New Boston most of his life, and was a retired miner. He worked at collieries in Lost Creek. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Mahanoy City. Surviving are his wife, the former Julia Fecko; five daughters, Mary, wife of Frank Cammisa, Hazleton, Joanne, wife of Herbert Williamson, Boyertown, Mrs. Helen Bova, Mahanoy City, Mrs. Margaret Stockunas, Frackville, and Irene Kristopaitis, at home; three sons, Joseph, Allentown, and Paul and Edward, both at home; a brother, George Willis, Minersville; eight grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Services will be held Thursday from Truskowsky Funeral Home,- Mahanoy City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph's Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
