He was born Jan. 24, 1966, in Pekin to Larry and Vernice Clayton Mayberry.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Vernice and Bob Funk of Pekin; father and stepmother, Larry and Donna Mayberry of Pekin; his grandmothers, Bessie Mayberry of Pekin and Ermer McNeil of Tennessee; and two sisters, Sheri (Jim) Robison of Hopedale and Valerie Johnson of Pekin.
Ward was a self-employed wedding dress designer, last working in 2005. Previously, he had been employed for 10 years as a designer for the Ultimate Bride on Oak Street in Chicago.
Cremation will be accorded.
