John Quincy Adams of New Market Alabama passed away on the 22nd of March, 2017.

Born February 28th, 1939 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Everett Adams and Lillie Adams.

He joined the army in 1956 and served until his retirement at Fort Hood in 1978.

A graduate of Central Texas College he worked for the Huntsville Times for twenty years before retiring again in 2009.

A husband of fifty-two years to Mary Adams after their marriage in 1965.

Upon his second retirement he learned to hand craft Appalachian Brooms and spent the last ten years touring craft shows throughout the Southeast.

Serving as a Deacon at the First Flint River Baptist Church he was deeply spiritual and active in the church. He was known as always willing to help anyone at anytime.

Struggling with Parkinsons for many years he never allowed it to stop him from pursuing an active life or helping others.

He was preceded in death by his eldest son Keith Richard Adams, he is survived by his wife and youngest son.

A memorial will be planned at a later date.
