Death 8 JUL 1890 • Portland, Multnomah, OregoMrs. Charlotte S. Vail died at her home in Fair Haven last Sunday. February 15 of heart disease, at the age of sixty-four years. Mrs. Vail was first married to Mr Hewitt of Peru, N.Y., who soon afterward moved to Milwaukee where Mr. Hewitt died. She was married to A.R. Vail, Esq., of Fair Haven, about 12 years ago at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. B G Rice, in Poultney. She also leaves besides her husband and daughter two sons, one in Portland, Oregon, and the other in Kansas. The funeral services were held at her late residence on Tuesday, Rev Mr Flagg officiating. Her remains were taken to Buffalo, N.Y., for interment, leaving Fair Haven Wednesday afternoon, accompanied by Simon Allen, George A. Vail and wife and a sister of the deceased from Albany.
